Saura x Saura

Displayed on the second floor of the Antonio Saura Foundation, Casa Zavala, the photography exhibition “SAURA X SAURA” presents a magnificent collection of images dating from between 1946 and 1998.
Around 70 photographs taken by Carlos Saura have been selected to form part of the “album of life” referred to by Antonio, images that will remain and which through visual narration, reassemble, give meaning to and illuminate the experiences that dialogize parallel to the work of these two big “saurios”: Antonio and Carlos.
Complemented with different texts and other exhibitive elements, together with the publication of a book-catalogue: the exhibition constitutes an extremely interesting visual document highlighting the most private and familiar aspect, of inevitable transcendence and in sincere homage to the person of Antonio Saura.
