Antonio Saura/Jacques Chessex
Death and Nothingness
[ From 13th of january of 2012 ]
In 1987, the publisher Pierre Canova commissioned from Antonio Saura a collection of drawings which would serve as an inspiration for the writing of the Swiss poet Jacques Chessex, generically entitled "Death and Nothingness".

The result of this collaboration undertaken between 1987 and 1989 came to light the following year, when Canova published a limited edition of the book of two thousand five hundred copies.
This exhibition showcases the original illustrations, correspondence and manuscripts, which are housed and exhibited as part of the Antonio Saura Foundation permanent collection, which is where the artist wanted them to be for their viewing.
